Jordan Love and the Packers were already without one of their top targets after Christian Watson tore his ACL in Green Bay’s Week 18 loss to the Bears.
On Sunday, they looked to have lost another. Romeo Doubs was escorted off the field after appearing to sustain a head injury against the Eagles in the NFC wild-card round.
Doubs, 24, is one of the Packers’ brightest lights in open field, capable of rising above opposition defenders to rip down lofted passes galore. His potential absence could loom large for a Green Bay offense already struggling to produce much of anything against Philadelphia’s vaunted front seven.

Romeo Doubs injury update
Doubs exited Sunday’s match after hitting his head hard off the turf partway through the third quarter.
With 6:55 left in the frame, Doubs jumped over two defenders in the hopes of corralling a Jordan Love pass. As the ball drifted from his grasp, Doubs fell to the canvas, crashing his helmet hard into the grass as he did so.
Doubs was wearing a Guardian Cap — he suffered a concussion while attempting to field a catch against the 49ers back in Week 12 — but he still looked worse for the wear, first having trouble rolling over on the field, then needing help to the locker room following the collision. Green Bay announced shortly thereafter that Doubs was being evaluated for a concussion.

With Doubs on the mend, the Packers will likely have to turn to the likes of Dontayvion Wicks and Malik Heath as they attempt to mount a comeback against Philadelphia.
Wicks is the most physical imposing wideout Green Bay has access to this postseason — the 6’1, 205-pound pass-catcher saw his numbers take a major leap after dealing with a shoulder issue and falling out of favor in Matt LaFleur’s system earlier in the year. Wicks tallied 39 catches for 415 yards and five touchdowns during the regular season. Although he accrued far fewer yards than his rookie year, he did rack up an additional 18 targets.
Heath, meanwhile, recorded two touchdowns in 13 games in 2024. He was far from prolific — Heath only collected 10 catches. But he was fairly effective in those moments, as fleeting as they were.
Reed figured to take on an increased role in LaFleur’s passing attack. He, too, was sidelined, though, falling victim to an apparent arm injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. He has yet to return.
