The French-Cameroonian is back in Saudi Arabia for the second fight of his crossover career, this time against former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
‘The Predator’ intends to continue his MMA career, but alongside boxing, not instead of it. Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, is trying to get back to the top of boxing after losing to Usyk consecutively, and although he has since won three fights in a row, none of them have been against elite opponents. His last fight was in December 2023 against Otto Wallin in Riyadh, whom he defeated by a fifth round knockout.
That is something Joshua captured when speaking about his next opponent, Ngannou: “Francis is a great fighter (…) strong, a great puncher and a much better boxer than we all thought he would be”.
