Megan Fox has announced that her first book of poetry, titled ‘Pretty Boys are Poisonous’, is set to be released on November 7.
The book, which will be published by Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, with the official synopsis stating Fox “shows fans her wicked humor through a heartbreaking and dark collection of poetry.
Over the course of 80+ poems Fox chronicles all the ways in which we fit ourselves into the shape of the ones we love, even if it means losing ourselves in the process.”
Fox announced the release by sharing an image of the front cover, which shows a mouth biting a snake, on her Instagram. She captioned her post, “I wrote a book.”
Fox on what the project means
Along with an Instagram post, Fox also released a statement in which she explained what the project means to her.
“These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence,” she said in a statement.
