Pep Guardiola is planning to bring in more squad reinforcements at Manchester City in the January transfer window.
As part of a significant squad rebuild, Guardiola is seemingly already closing in on deals for Abdukodir Khusanov and Omar Marmoush, as he aims for a strong end to the campaign.
Guardiola is building for both the short and long-term in Manchester after committing his own future to the Etihad Stadium until 2027 back in December.

The Catalan coach is also looking to bolster his midfield options, with Spain star Rodri ruled out for the remainder of the campaign, and doubts over the futures of Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan.
As per an exclusive report from The Athletic, Guardiola could revive his interest in Douglas Luiz, who has struggled in his first season at Juventus.

Brazil international Luiz swapped Aston Villa for the Serie A giants last summer, on the back of racking up ten goals and ten assists across all competitions, as Villa sealed a first-ever UEFA Champions League qualification spot.
As part of Villa’s drive to remain within Premier League rules on Profit & Sustainability (PSR) the club accepted a £42m ($50m) offer for the combative playmaker.
However, the main stumbling block over Guardiola’s interest could be convincing Luiz over his role at the club, after an ill-fated spell with them previously.

He joined Guardiola’s team from Vasco da Gama in 2017, but spent the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons on loan at sister side Girona, and never made an appearance for Pep.
Work permit issued blocked his chances at City, but his paperwork was passed in 2019, as he landed at Villa Park.
The 26-year-old has started just three league games in his debut campaign in Turin, with Thiago Motta unconvinced on him, despite his contract running until 2028.
Guardiola will need to prove his plans for Luiz to kickstart potential negotiations and Juventus will aim for around the same fee they paid Villa less than 12 months ago.
