While for the second season we had to wait up to two years to solve the mystery, the third season is only seven months away from the newly released one
This short separation between the two seasons is no coincidence. The producers and creators of the series did not plan to separate this story into two parts. “I originally envisioned seasons two and three as one story,” Hwang Dong-hyuk said. “That’s how I wrote it. But, in the process, it turned out to be too many episodes.” That’s why the time between these two seasons is shorter.
