Mike Batayeh, best known for his role in “Breaking Bad”, has died at the age of 52. On Friday, his family confirmed to The Post that the actor who portrayed Dennis Markowski -Gustavo Frings laundromat’s manager- at the legendary AMC’s series, passed away on June 1st in his sleep after suffering a heart attack at his home in Michigan.
According to his closed ones, Mike Batayeh death was sudden and unexpected, due to him not having any history regarding heart issues or previous cardiac problems. “He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many”, his family expressed through a statement to TMZ.
During his filming career, Mike Batayeh guest starred in three episodes of Breaking Bad: “End Times” (2011), “Hazard Pay” and “Gliding Over All” (2012). During them, he shared screen time with actors who portrayed main characters like Dean Norris (Hank Schrader) and Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut), or guest stars as Steven Michael Quezada (Steve Gomez).

The actor and comedian also appeared in movies such as “American Dreamz” and “Detroit Unleaded”. Additionally, he participated in single episodes on shows as “CSI: Miami” and “The Bernie Mac Show”.
“Mike was always passionate about helping youth in the community where he lived and grew up facing similar challenges”. This were the words that could be read on Mike Batayeh’s online obituary. Friends and colleagues who recently heard the news expressed their condolences through social media.
Batayeh didn’t have kids, but his five sisters and other members of his family will be having a celebration of his life service, which will take place on June 16 in the city Plymouth, Michigan.
