If this is the first time you hear the name Jarrell Miller, allow us to explain who this heavyweight is. As part of the same fight card for the ‘Day of Reckoning‘ boxing event that is taking place in Riyadh on December 23. Miller is fighting Daniel Dubois but he was waiting for Wednesday’s first presentation in order to get on Anthony Joshua’s face. He didn’t waste time and decided to mock the fact that AJ didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. In fact, he seemed on a terrible mood while also flexing on every other boxer in the room. This is possibly the meanest abd biggest we’ve seen Joshua in a long time, Otto Wallin better be ready for the bombs he is dropping on him during their fight. But most of the attention was on the first time AJ and Wilder saw each other in person.
Anthony Joshua’s past with Jarrell Miller
Back in 2019, Anthony Joshua was the reigning Heavyweight champ and he gave Jarrell Miller the chance to fight him for the belt in the month of June. The problem was that Miller failed a drug test right before the fight and got it cancelled. He made AJ feel like he wated his time and hasn’t liked him ever since. Jarrell also failed a second test in 2020, right before fighting Jerry Forest. These two failed tests proved Miller does not take this sport seriously but the Saudi organizers wanted to give him one more chance. Although he relishes the chance to fight Dubois, Miller didn’t miss his chance to get under Anthony Joshua’s skin.
AJ was having none of it, he still remembers how Miller wasted his time and lost his opportunity to fight for the belts. But Joshua was also bothered by Queensberry Promotions, he didn’t even want their journalists to ask him any questions. In a nutshell, Anthony Joshua seemed like he was spending a miserable time. But the most interesting part was his reaction to Deontay Wilder’s best wishes. Although they did shake hands at a certain moment, AJ played into his alpha male role the entire time he was at the event. Deontay Wilder is going to fight Joe Parker in the same event that also includes Dmitry Bivol. Sparks are already flying more than one month away from this event.
