Once again, Antonio Brown has found himself in the public attention for his opinions. On the same day the NFL announced the Pro Bowl selections, the former wide receiver took to X (Twitter) to post a controversial take about a historic selection for the Baltimore Ravens.
Ravens rookie Zay Flowers made history as he became the franchise’s first wide receiver to earn a Pro Bowl spot. However, former Steelers’ WR created a debate by claiming the honor should have gone to Jaguars rookie receiver Brian Thomas Jr.
Fans were quick to recall his final NFL appearance which was two years ago from today. Brown abruptly left the field mid-game, removing his jersey and exiting shirtless the game against the New York Jets. The incident marked the end of his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the end of his NFL career, and it remains as one of the most iconic moments in recent NFL history.

Is Antonio Brown part of the 33.3% of former NFL players who could have CTE’s ?
The University of Harvard announced that there was a study of how many ex-NFL players could have CTE without a diagnose. There are theories of Antonio Brown being one of that stat.
What is CTE? Is a degenerative brain disease, which is a disease that gradually damages and destroy parts of the nervous system, especially areas of the brain. The most famous case in football is the Aaron Hernández’, after analyzing his brain after he commit suicide in jail.
It is most frequently found in contact sport athletes and military veterans. Data from the Concussion Legacy Foundation shows that CTE has been found in individuals whose primary exposure to head impacts was through tackle football, the military, hockey, boxing, rugby, soccer, and amateur wrestling.
Antonio Brown was once the best wide receiver in the NFL. A four-time All-Pro, seven-time Pro Bowler, and a member of the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team, his presence on field madehim one of the most electrifying players of his era. However, the past years have been so different that every NFL fan remember.
Brown’s troubles began after a huge contact by Bengals player Vontaze Burfict in the play-offs of the 2016. After that some of their teammates argue that Brown started to act different.

At the end of the 2018 season he clashed with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and requested a trade. This came after an incident where he threw patio furniture from a 14th-floor apartment window, nearly injuring a child.
His trade to the Oakland Raiders only escalated the chaos, as he missed training camp due to frostbite from a cryotherapy mishap and fought the NFL over helmet regulations. Brown’s tenure in Oakland ended before it began, as he was released following a confrontation with the team’s general manager.
Antonio Brown’s career became a cycle of comebacks and controversies. After his turbulent departure from the Oakland Raiders, where he also attempted to sue the NFL over helmet regulations, he joined the New England Patriots. However, his tenure with the Patriots lasted less than a month due to allegations of sexual assault by a former trainer.

What followed was a carousel of retirements and unretirements, with Brown briefly stepping away from the NFL before receiving an eight-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. His return with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw a bit of his former talent, as he contributed to their Super Bowl victory.
Yet, even with the championship spotlight, Brown couldn’t stay out of trouble. Legal issues, such as an altercation with a moving-truck driver, and a trespass warning from a youth football league, continued to mark his reputation.
The problems came to a crucial point with two significant incidents: using a fake vaccine card and his dramatic mid-game exit during a matchup against the Jets, which would ultimately mark the end of his NFL career.
