The Beatlesjust released a new song (yes, it is not 1968 again) named ‘Now and Then’, also their final ever, as this is the last track that all four Beatles worked on it. Even though the process of producing and completing this tune took almost 40 years to complete and two of them are no longer alive, John, George, Paul, and Ringo all put their hands on it.
Even after all this time, The Beatles are as popular as ever, being this a massive hit after it was officially released to the public like in the good old days. However, this time is not records that are being sold, but likes, downloads, and streams on music platforms.
The Beatles did it again
According to Chart Data, ‘Now and Then’ reached #1 on the US iTunes charts after being released, with their short documentary on YouTube about the making of the song now #9 trending.
The song, written by all four Beatles, was initially a home demo recorded by John Lennon during the 70s. After his death, Yoko Ono handed the tape to the remaining members of the band to try to complete the tune over the years that followed, even after George Harrison’s passing in 2001.
One of the greatest of all time
To this day, The Beatles are the artist with the most #1 Singles in Billboard 100 history with 20, as they are also the highest-selling musical act of all time, with estimated sales of around 600 million units worldwide.
They also hold the record for most no.1 albums on the UK Chart with 15, and most singles sold in the UK with almost 22 million copies.
