Philadelphia Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro, better known as Big Dom, was ejected from the team’s home loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field after a sideline scuffle with linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who the referees also tossed from the game.
DiSandro, 45, yanked Greenlaw, 26, off of Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith after a catch in the third quarter. The 49ers linebacker retaliated by lightly punching Big Dom’s face.
Eagles fans gave DiSandro a roaring ovation as he walked to the tunnel. Big Dom reappeared shortly after to greet the players as they made their way to the locker room following their loss.
DiSandro has been employed by the Eagles for nearly 25 years, and even though he is often seen with players out in Philly, very little is known about him.

Big Dom is in charge of all safety matters regarding the organization and also serves as a senior adviser to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman.
DiSandro rarely gives interviews, but reportedly “provides education on the NFL‘s personal conduct policy,” according to Associated Press.
“DOM is a legend lol been there since Andy [Reid] took over the Eagles,” former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, who is now a talking head on FS1, tweeted.
