Dak Prescott‘s younger brother, Tad Prescott, hit out at the Dallas Cowboys by insisting the 31-year-old quarterback is not to blame for the franchise’s struggles, as Jerry Jones tries to guide them back to the Super Bowl.
and Micah Parsons‘ younger brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., recently appeared on the January 27 episode of the Unwanted Opinion podcast to discuss
The comments came as he discussed why the Cowboys‘ quarterback has yet to lead his team to an NFC Championship game, suffering shocking eliminations, including that 48-32 defeat to the Green Bay Packers, and Tad Prescott did not hold back in his critique.
“Our defense has not played well in the majority of those playoff games,” Terrence Parsons Jr. told the Unwanted Opinion podcast. “Now again, you can take a few of those and put them on the shoulders of him, which he’ll do as well.
“It’s a full team game, so don’t try to pin it on the quarterback. When you can truly look at the quarterback and go, ‘Bro, you f**k it up,’ then you can blame him.”

Prescott has incredible regular seasons and often finds himself in the MVP debate, but then struggles in the NFL Playoffs, and has a career postseason averages of 280 yards and two touchdowns, but also one interception per game with an average pass completion of 64.5%.
However, his younger brother may have a point. He put up 32 points against Jordan Love’s Packers but it proved not to be enough as they crashed out of the NFC Wild Card game.
He added 17 points against the San Francisco 49ers in 2021 but they slumped out. In fact, his defense has allowed 14+ points in all appearances since he joined in 2016.
Cowboys Tighten Up Backroom Staff
After parting ways with head coach Mike McCarthy, the Cowboys were rumored to be considering high-profile names such as Bill Belichick. However, they ultimately decided to promote Brian Schottenheimer.
Now Jones has extended Will McClay as his vice-president to ensure stability in a crucial role. Since joining the Cowboys as a scout in 2002, McClay has played a pivotal role in shaping the team’s roster.
His influence has been evident in key draft selections, including perennial Pro Bowlers like guard Zack Martin, linebacker Micah Parsons, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb; who are considered some of the best in their positions.
As the Cowboys move forward, the focus remains on rebuilding a team capable of making a deep playoff run. While Dak Prescott continues to be scrutinized, his brother’s defense of him highlights the need for a collective effort across the entire organization.
