But it’s not just the players on the field gearing up for the big game-the Eagles’ cheerleading squad is ready to bring their energy to the Super Bowl as well. The team’s spirit leaders have been rallying fans all season, and they’re carrying that momentum into the biggest game of the year.
Among them is cheerleading captain Alexa Monteleone, who sent a three-word message to the Chiefs and their stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
“The hunt continues,” Monteleone noted.
With the Eagles entering the game as underdogs, the team-and its cheer squad-are embracing the underdog mentality that has defined Philadelphia sports for years.

Kelce family divided
This Super Bowl brings a unique family dynamic with Travis Kelce (Chiefs) and Jason Kelce (Eagles) once again on opposite sides.
The Kelce family connection to Philadelphia runs deep, with Jason winning a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2018. Meanwhile, his wife, Kylie Kelce, is a lifelong Eagles fan, making this matchup even more personal for their family.
Jason spoke about his emotions heading into the game, admitting that his loyalties will be split.
“I’ll always root for my brother,” Jason said on the New Heights podcast. “But there’s a lot of people in the Philadelphia organization … that feel like extended family to me … I’m rooting for those guys too.”
Ultimately, Jason knows that no matter the outcome, his family will experience both joy and disappointment.
“I’m rooting for Philadelphia, and I’m rooting for Travis Kelce. That’s the reality of it,” he admitted. “No matter what, on game day, I’m going to be happy for one of those sides. And I’m going to be sad for the other side.”
