Football is a global sport played everywhere and in every possible way. But there are formats that defy logic. In Japan, they decided it was a great idea to play a match in cars with a giant ball. The result is bizarre to say the least.
These are not vehicles specially designed for this bizarre sport. They are normal passenger cars that end up practically scrapped because of what seems to be a lax set of regulations.
Seven minutes into the match, the score is still tied at 0-0, and it seems quite difficult to move from there.
This sport is reminiscent of a very popular video game called Rocket League, which is about nothing more and nothing less than racing cars playing football, although those can fly, use nitro and don’t spend five seconds per steering wheel manoeuvre.
