In the history of this DC Comics character, usually New Jersey is usually depicted with tinges of New York and Chicago, but the filming locations have varied.
While Tim Burton preferred to film in England, Christopher Nolan preferred Chicago and Zack Snyder saw Detroit as more appropriate, although Reeves combined the choices of his predecessors.
