The Golden State Warriors suffered one of the toughest defeats of the Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry era as they fell 125-85 to the Boston Celtics.
The 40-point loss to the Warriors at the Chase Center was the worst home loss for the California team since 1985, four decades ago.

Andrew Wiggins, one of the offensive pillars of Golden State, scored four points on a terrible 1-for-11 shooting.
Jayson Tatum (22 points), Kristaps Porzingis (18 points) and Jaylen Brown (17 points) were the best of the Celtics in their basketball thrashing of the Warriors.

Despite the debacle against Boston, and their poor season (they are currently out of playoff position with 21 wins and 21 losses), Steve Kerr is sticking to his philosophy of relying on three-point shooting to dismantle opponents.
“We’re not a team that gets layups or free throws. It’s just not in our DNA. So we have to shoot a lot of threes and we’ll continue to do that. On nights like this, when they don’t go in, it’s a tough road,” Steve Kerr said after losing to the Celtics with 14 of 53 (26.4%) from three-point range.
Steve Kerr acknowledged that the loss to Boston was “demoralizing”, recalled that “we’ve been competitive all year” and vowed to put the game against the Celtics behind him: “We’ve got to flush this one down the toilet and get ready for Sacramento”.
