Actor Ezra Miller reprised his role as Barry Allen/Flash, after the actor was in the midst of a series of legal troubles that have brought him a series of criminal lawsuits and a process where he is on probation.
Muschietti pointed out that in those four quadrants, women were the sector in which the film had no impact, despite having Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Maribel Verdu in the role of Nora Allen.
“In private conversations, I’ve realized that a lot of people just don’t care about Flash as a character… In particular, the two female quadrants. I’ve learned that all of that is just the wind that’s going against the movie.”
Trust in Andy Muschietti’s work
Despite the poor results of The Flash, James Gunn, CEO of DC Studios, entrusted Muschietti with the production of The Brave and The Bold, a film that will introduce Batman to the new DC Universe.
Muschietti himself said that he will wait for Matt Reeves to deliver the second part of The Batman to start working on the script, based on the stories that in 2006 were written by British writer Grant Morrison.
