Tom Brady’s role with the Las Vegas Raiders may spell the end of his time as Fox Sports’ lead NFL analyst.
At least that’s what former MLB executive David Samson believes. Brady is currently in the first year of his 10-year, $375 million contract he signed with the NFL broadcaster.
However, that position has come into question after he became a minority owner of the Raiders, with Mark Davis recently stating he will have a “huge voice” in the franchise’s future.

Many believe Brady will have a huge role in picking the Raiders’ new coach, as they let Antonio Pierce go earlier this week, and with his influence in Las Vegas growing, Samson believes he won’t be returning to his lead analyst role next year.
“Tom Brady is running that team right now – the NFL knows it and Fox knows it and something has got to give. So enjoy Tom in the booth because you’re not going to see him there next year,” Samson said on the Dan Le Batard Show.
“He will be in the Raiders front office, he will not return as an analyst for Fox – you cannot be this involved in the operation of a team and be the No 1 analyst.
‘It’s an absolute insult to analysts what he’s doing. And it’s an insult to team president what he’s doing.
“You end up doing both of them in a mediocre way… and I promise you he will choose the Raiders.”
Samson was then asked to clarify whether this was information he had received or if it was just an assumption, and he responded with: “Tom Brady will not be with Fox next season, he’ll be full time in the Raiders front office running that team. Period.”
Brady’s future a big talking point
Samson’s comments are the latest to cast doubt over Brady’s future on TV.
Ricard Deitsch and The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand recently stated that they don’t believe the former New England Patriot will see out the remainder of his contract given his many ventures outside of football.
Regardless of the speculation, Brady is scheduled to work Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.
He is also partnering with Verizon Fan Fest to launch Super Bowl watch parties across the United States at all 30 NFL stadiums, where fans will be able to gather to watch the game on big screens and can enjoy music and food at the venue.
