‘Stranger Things’ has become a worldwide phenomenon enjoying millions of followers. It is also a tv show through which many actors have made their name in the industry.
One of the actresses who featured in the fourth season of the Duffer brothers’ fiction has revealed that she does not want to work in Hollywood and has explained the reasons behind her decision.
The actress in question is Grace Van Dien, who played Chrissy, a character who is the victim of an assault from Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) and ends up dying before the eyes of Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).
Van Dien, despite having already participated in different projects before her feature in the fourth instalment of the Netflix series, received her notoriety as a well known streamer thanks to her video game skills.
The disturbing offer from a Hollywood producer
During one of her live streams on Twitch, the 26-year-old actress talked about her experiences in Hollywood and why she prefers not to work on projects in the industry.
“The fact is, in the last projects I worked on, I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for. And with streaming I can choose who I hang out with, who I talk to, etc,” she explained.
Allegedly, on one of the last productions she worked on, Grace Van Dien received an ‘offer’ that disturbed her.
“One of the producers asked me… He hired a girl he was sleeping with and then asked him to ask me to have a threesome with them,” she said.
“So that’s my boss. I didn’t do it, I cried and I was very upset.”
It is because of situations like the one she revealed that Van Dien prefers to work on projects related to streaming platforms and stay away from Hollywood.
