Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was brutally booed by the entire Intuit Dome in Los Angeles at the debut of RAW on Netflix.
The moment was quite memorable as some were completely unprepared for it. After a few weeks of silence, The Hulkster broke his silence on Pat McAfee’s show.
There he explained that all the booing was because of his role as the bad guy when he was a wrestler, then he started to break the ice and yes, he admitted that politics had a lot to do with the negative reaction.
He even said that he wanted to respond to them in a bad way but there was no chance of that happening because his role was to promote his beer brand and he was going to ruin everything.
Seth Rollins happy with everything that happened
Former WWE World ChampionSeth ‘Freakin’ Rollins was on Good Morning Football promoting the company on the eve of the Super Bowl, where he was asked about his thoughts on the booing of Hogan by fans in Los Angeles and responded without any filter:
“I am all for people getting what they deserve, that’s how I feel about Hulk Hogan getting boo’d. If you are getting boo’d by the masses there is a reason for it alright. So I don’t know Hulk fully understands the scope but people get what they deserve so I’m happy to see it, I loved to see it”, were Rollins’ strong words about what happened.
He also justified his reaction by saying that Hogan is the pioneer of professional wrestling and he hopes that what happened in LA will change the way he handles certain things:
“Look, I’ve said this before about the Hulkster, he’s the guy that got me into this industry as far as love for professional wrestling. So I’ll never take that away from him, what he’s done for our business, I’ll never take that away from him. But I do think there’s some responsibility that he needs to own up to that he hasn’t yet. Maybe when he finally figures that out, he might be able to move forward with our fans. So we’ll see,” the former member of The Shield concluded.
He is not the only one who is happy about the booing of Hulk Hogan.
CM Punk, when it came time to talk about the Rumble match, cut a promo in which he took a dig at The Hulkster: “You put Hulk Hogan in the Royal Rumble and I will throw his dusty ass over the top rope, and I’ll kill Hulkamania once and for all,” he said.
Many insiders confirmed that this was entirely the Chicago wrestler’s idea, as the company’s creatives had no idea he was going to say that, but they didn’t bother, on the contrary, many within the wrestling company joked about it.
It seems that Hulk Hogan doesn’t have many friends in WWE, and the former wrestler even canceled an appearance with the company that he was supposed to make to promote his beer on January 25th at Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio, Texas.
