The Washington Capitals’ victory in their visit to the Edmonton Oilers by 3-2 could have been compromised by how the Canadian team’s second goal came about. With the score at 3-1, a shot by Corey Perry went into Logan Thompson’s goal, who stood motionless at the shot. His passivity was due to the fact that he had seen that on the ice fell a tray of nachos that interfered with the play.
