For the first time in history, a US president will attend the NFL championship game.
This Sunday, former president Donald Trump will attend Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Throughout history, the nation’s presidents have been remembered for interacting with NFL winners, but through a phone call, as after the game the president used to make a call with the coach and the Most Valuable Player of the winning team.

Trump changes history in the Super Bowls
In recent years, this tradition seemed to have been lost with Trump and Joe Biden, but now the president will be changing history and sowing an unprecedented event by attending the game that will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Trump is also scheduled to attend an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier as part of the network’s pre-show programming, which will be taped from Florida ahead of the game.
“A comprehensive security plan and coordination has been implemented to ensure the safety of all attendees, players and staff,” said Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. “Security measures have been further enhanced this year, as it will be the first time a sitting president of the United States will attend the event.”
Trump, a New Yorker who now considers Florida his home, has not indicated which team he supports, but posted congratulations to the Chiefs after their AFC Championship victory last month.
“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs. What a GREAT team, coach, quarterback and just about everything else, including those fantastic FANS, who voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers. Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will win a lot in the future!!!”
