People online have shown no sympathy, blaming him for his irresponsible behavior both before and after the crash: “his friend should sue him 1000%“, “I really hope his insurance gets this clip and denies any claim he tries to make saying it wasn’t his fault“, “Is this enough evidence to get him placed in jail? Texting while driving, recording it as well“, “Can we ban this dude from like everything?“… are some of the comments left online.
Unacceptable behavior
The YouTuber was speeding, driving recklessly, and distracted-all on a rainy day, when the chances of accidents are much higher due to unpredictable conditions. After the crash, Doherty seemed more concerned about his car than his injured friend and cameraman, who was screaming in pain and asking for help while head-bleeding. His reaction has been heavily criticized online, with users saying it reveals how toxic and materialistic Jack is, putting his friend’s life at risk while caring more about the car than his friend’s well-being.
Both were rushed to the hospital for medical attention, and unsurprisingly, another video was released afterward. Again, it was met with nothing but hate. Doherty did not appear to care about his friend, nor did he seem sorry or remorseful about the incident. He just looked… fine.

The streaming platform ‘Kick,’ where Doherty streamed, has taken action by banning his channel. However, the duration of this ban remains unknown. People say it is permanent, but based on past incidents, what seems like it could be for ever, often lasts just a few days or months at most. At the end of the day, Doherty generates a lot of revenue and is considered “good” for business. It is what it is.
Hopefully, the legal consequences will be more severe, and he will be permanently banned from livestreaming and profiting from internet content. Otherwise, this sends the wrong message to his audience, mainly children, who might think serious actions don’t have serious consequences.
