Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat’s drama keeps growing with the All.-star forward not backing down from confrontation after he requested a trade from the team he’s been on since the summer of 2019 when he arrived via a sign-and-trade from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Since then, Butler has not been able to win an NBA championship even though he took the team to the finals in 2020, only to fall to LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers despite an extraordinary performance from Jimmy.
The superstar’s frustration has come up to this: he wants no part of the Miami Heat but the team’s president, Pat Riley, is not one to back down and Butler was hit with a seven-game suspension for “multiple instances of conduct detrimental” to the franchise.

Jimmy Butler is expanding his stake in the high-end specialty coffee industry through his coffee shop, Big Face Coffee and while interacting with the employees, he graps the opportunity to throw major shade at Miami Heat’s president Pat Riley.
“See, I gave you a compliment. That’s what bosses do, they build you up, they don’t break you down.” Butler said to an employee, as he looks at the camera and gives a thumbs up with a smile on his face.

The NBA superstar has said that he has spent millions on Big Face which has a staff of six employees, plus 15 retail workers in Miami. Butler promotes the business on social media with help from his famous friends, pitching a “premium stand-alone product and an inclusive experience”.

Jimmy Butler’s time with the Miami Heat seems to be on life support. After a series of dramatic turns, it’s looking more and more like the six-time All-Star will be donning a different jersey before the NBA’s February 6 trade deadline. But where could he go? On a recent episode of the “All The Smoke” podcast, Jackson didn’t mince words about where Butler belongs. “For me, the only place is the Spurs. Everything else is fluff,” Jackson said, praising San Antonio’s structure and coaching under Gregg Popovich. Jackson believes Butler could help the Spurs return to championship contention while also finding a soft landing spot to finish his career.
“He’s going to the end of his career. He can get his contract, have a great chance to win a championship, and bring toughness to a team that doesn’t have it,”Jackson explained. With Victor Wembanyama already making waves as the league’s next generational talent, Butler could bring the experience and leadership to fast-track the Spurs’ rebuild.
