Jennifer Lopez could lose a gig worth almost 100 million dollars as her comeback album and comeback tour fail to go as expected, leaving her deal with a major Las Vegas promoter on the rocks as sales fail to impress…
The New Yorker, of Latin heritage, was due to sign some deals at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, worth an astonishing one million dollars per show for 90 repeats from 2025, but now the giant venue could be set to walk away.
“MGM is watching her not doing well on the road,” a source told The New York Post. “They are very nervous. It’s pretty rare you have a poor tour and then go to Vegas.”
The news comes after her This is Me… Now album failed to reach the expected targets, leading to not one, not two, but seven concerts of hers being spontaneously cancelled for the summer of 2024.
So, after initially being on track for $90m to add to her $400m net worth, that could now be slashed to as little as $45m for the contracted shows indicating substantial decline in her valuation by the promoters.
The album is the worst-selling one of Lopez‘s career, whilst the Amazon Prime Video film failed too. Tickets for the concert? They’re still available for $65 as she struggles to sell the 19500-seat T-Mobile Arena for July 20, the same night that Iron Mike Tyson fights Jake Paul.

Adding to the poor sales are reports that her marriage to Ben Affleck, who met in their early 20s before reconciliation during the Covid-19 pandemic, is struggling to survive as they’ve rarely been spotted together for over a month.
Reportedly, they’re struggling to manage their stardoms as the ex-Batman star likes to be private whilst Lopez likes to be seen and to welcome her fans into her own life. However, they were spotted recently at the debut of Lopez‘s latest movie.
Whilst it currently tops the Netflix charts, it’s been slaughtered by critics who have slammed it as “abysmal”, as the 54-year-old struggles to catch a break at the moment.
