If the system is so fragile as to slip on a banana peel, maybe it was already slipping,” Cattelan said in an interview.
Sun, for his part, stressed that by buying the work, he also acquired the right to exhibit the installation along with a guide to replace the banana when necessary.
“It’s much better than other bananas,” reiterated the millionaire, who took the moment to draw parallels between art and the world of cryptocurrencies.
