Born Katherine Von Drachenberg on March 8th of 1982 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Kat Von D is an Argentinian-American reality television star, entrepeneur, and tattoo artist who has been working tirelessly for nearly two decades in showbusiness. She began her career as a tattoo artist after appearing on the first season is Miami Ink back in 2005. After getting a big break when a main cast member injured his arm, Von D arrived to replace him. After that, she became a full-time cast member and spent three full seasons on the show. That was more than enough to launch her career, especially after she quit during the end of the third season due to a disagreement with the tattoo shop’s co-owner.

Kat Von D’s LA Ink show
The most important moment of her career in reality TV came when she was given the chance to star on her own show called LA Ink. It focused on her impulse to run her own tattoo shop based in Hollywood known as High Voltage Tattoo. In this show, Kat Von D became quite popular in the scene but is was cancelled after its fourth season back in 2011. Other than these tattoo shows, Von D appeared on other shows such as Pimp My Ride, MADtv, I Love Jenni, and Life in Pieces. Eventually, Von D became the narrator of the documentary Dominion. But Kat’s career was only getting warmed up, she would go on to do many different things over the years.
As an author, Von D published hr High Voltage Tattoo and reached the number six spot on the New York Times Best Seller list. Her second book was The Tattoo Chrinicles and it reached third spot on the same list. In music, Kat Von D provided vocals for theGothic band The 69 Eyes and collaborated with other groups such as Gunship and IAMX. She owns her makeup line with Sephora and created the Musnik Tattoo Conventuon, as well as the a Musnic Festival in 2008. Between all her career earnings, Forbes estimates that Kat Von D is worth a reported $20 million.
