Kathleen Turner became one of Hollywood’s most famous actresses in the 1980s thanks to her roles in movies such as ‘Prizzi’s Honour’, ‘The Accidental Tourist’ and ‘War of the Roses’.
After two Golden Globes and a successful career ahead of her, in 1992 she began to suffer from ailments that could not be immediately explained, although they could be explained in the medium term.
The actress was diagnosed a year later with rheumatoid arthritis, a disease in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the joints and causes a series of pains that are quite difficult to bear.
“Some days I couldn’t hold a glass to get a drink of water. I couldn’t hold my daughter… My feet were so swollen I couldn’t put on any shoes, let alone walk in them,” Turner said in her memoirs.

Since this premiere, which was held in Manhattan, nothing has been heard from Turner. However, some rather worrying images of the actress have been revealed during a walk in New York, where she currently resides.
Turner suffers from serious obesity problems. She also has more mobility issues than you may expect for a 69-year-old.
The American has had to undergo surgery on several occasions due to her illness: “It’s very difficult to understand the level of pain that this disorder brings to your life,” she confessed in an interview with Vulture.
“I was told I was going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life, and at that time there wasn’t the medication that we have now,” she also said a few years ago in another interview with Salon.
