Lance Reddick, one of the most beloved stars of ‘The Wire’, the most acclaimed series of the early 21st century, passed away on March 17. The news not only surprised his fans, but also left many doubts in his close circles. Now, a few weeks later they have questioned the official cause of death, as reported by Deadline.
The report stipulates that Reddick, 60, had suffered from heart disease and, specifically, coronary ischemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, according to the well-known outlet TMZ.
However, that does not seem to convince those closest to the actor, who have spoken through his lawyer, questioning whether there are other reasons, since they argue that it does not match either with the habits of the actor or with the physical condition he showed.
The family’s lawyer makes a public statement
As reported by Deadline, James Hornstein, lawyer representing the family, the star of ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ and ‘Law and Order’ worked out every day at his home gym, maintained a strict diet and focused on cardiovascular activities.
In addition, the attorney states that Lance Reddick, when he had to travel for work, required by contract that a gym be available to perform his routine workouts.
“The information on the death certificate is totally inconsistent with his lifestyle,” charges James Hornstein.
“It is unsubstantiated and inconsistent with the facts known to the family.”
