As Taylor Swift prepares to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, some of her devoted fans are not happy about the tight end’s absence at the 2025 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
On Sunday night, Swift attended the prestigious music event solo, dazzling on the red carpet in a Vivienne Westwood-designed red corseted mini dress.
But while the pop superstar made headlines with her style and grace, her fans couldn’t help but notice that Kelce was nowhere to be seen at the ceremony.
Social media was ablaze with reactions from Swift‘s diehard supporters, questioning why she consistently shows up at Kelce’s football games, but he doesn’t seem to reciprocate when it comes to her big nights in the music industry.
“I don’t like them as a couple, but does anyone find it odd that Taylor goes to all of Travis‘s games but he doesn’t bother to go with her to award shows? It seems one-sided. #GRAMMYs,” a fan wrote.
Another added: “Travis isn’t there but I assume Taylor is going to have to go to the Super Bowl… classic.”
“Why does Taylor Swift go to Chiefs games, but Travis Kelce can’t attend s**?”* a third noted.
Despite the criticism, Kelce‘s absence was not entirely unexpected, given that he had already arrived in New Orleans to begin Super Bowl preparations with the Kansas City Chiefs.
A supportive boyfriend
While some Swifties paint the relationship as one-sided, the actual numbers tell a different story. Since Swift and Kelce went public in September 2023, the global superstar has attended 22 of Kelce‘s 35 games-a level of commitment that has made her an unofficial part of the Chiefs‘ fan base.
At the same time, Kelce has also been highly supportive of Swift‘s career. The three-time Super Bowl champion has traveled extensively to watch Swift perform on her record-breaking Eras Tour, attending 14 of her concerts.
