In recent years, the ex-heavyweight champion of the world has spoken openly about the challenges he faced in balancing his boxing career with his personal life, including the responsibilities of fatherhood and Tyson’s journey through fame, fortune, and personal struggles has made him a multifaceted figure in the public eye.
Tyson’s journey as a dad began when he was very young, in 1990, when he became a father at 24 years old to Mikey Lorna Tyson. The woman he got pregnant was called Kimberly Scarborough, but he was not much of a dad at the time as he was quickly sent to prison for rape.
Then in 1996 he became a parent for the second time when Ramsey Tyson was born, before Amir was welcomed into the world in 1997, the same year he married Monica Turner. They later divorced in 2003.
In 2005 he became a dad again when Exodus Tyson was born in 2001 to Sol Xochilt, but tragedy later struck the youngster who was found dead in her bedroom after managing to choke on a rope by accident.
Tyson’s other children are Miguel Tyson who was born in 2002, his mother is unknown but he aspires to be a boxer too. Finally, with Lakiha Spicer, he has had Milan Tyson, born 2008, Morocco Tyson, born 2011. The couple married in 2009 and then had Micky Tyson, born in 2021.

Why did Tyson go to prison?
Tyson’s legal troubles have been a significant part of his public image, alongside his boxing career but there is one glaring part of that criminal record – when he went to jail for rape.
In 1991, Mike Tyson was charged with the rape of Desiree Washington, an 18-year-old Miss Black America contestant, in an Indianapolis hotel room. The incident occurred on July 19, 1991, when Tyson was staying at the Canterbury Hotel in Indianapolis. Washington alleged that Tyson had sexually assaulted her in his hotel room.
The trial garnered intense media attention and public interest. Tyson vehemently denied the allegations, claiming that the encounter was consensual. However, on February 10, 1992, Tyson was convicted of rape and sentenced to six years in prison, with three years suspended, and four years of probation.
