Jalen Rose, remembered former NBA player, has filed for divorce from his wife, ESPN anchor Molly Qerim, information that was confirmed by the ex-athlete himself.
Rose filed the documents earlier this year to initiate the process and conclude their marriage of 2.5 years, according to court records via TMZ Sports.
Furthermore, sources consulted have added that the breakup between the couple was amicable and both parties remain cordial.
A love story that began in 2016
The relationship between Rose and Qerim became public in June 2016 and in July 2018 in New York the former Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors player married the First Take host.
However, Rose filed divorce papers on April 30, 2021. Just months before, the exNBA had recorded a commercial for the Gatorade brand together with Molly.

But, signs of a breakup emerged months ago in the social networks of both, as they stopped appearing together in photos or at public events and she removed the ‘Rose’ in her name on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.
Jalen argued in court documents that the marriage broke up for good after Qerim moved to Connecticut.
Rose has not asked for any alimony or for Molly to have any. The couple signed no prenuptial agreement and Qerim would not want spousal support.

Jalen posted a statement on Twitter about the divorce, confessing that he had already been separated from his wife for a year before officially filing for divorce.
“After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go our separate ways. We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship moving forward. Please respect our privacy at this time,” Rose wrote.
Rose and Qerim continue to work together at ESPN. He played in the NBA from 1994 to 2007 before moving into TV anchoring, while she previously worked with NFL Network.
