Moriah Mills couldn’t help but poke fun at Zion Williamson after he had to leave Tuesday’s play-in game due to an injury, which ultimately led to the New Orleans Pelicans losing to LeBron James and the Lakers. The 23-year-old was visibly in pain as he limped off the court after making a shot and was unable to return to the game.
In a TikTok video, Mills took a light-hearted jab at the situation, followed by some pointed words for her former flame. “They don’t play about me, like, that’s all I’m gonna say,” she chuckled before adding, “Honestly, you’ll never beat the GOAT, you’re not the GOAT. You’re not LeBron James. You’ll never beat LeBron James. Goodnight.”
This isn’t the first time Mills has shown some playful pettiness towards Williamson. It all started over a year ago when Williamson announced that his girlfriend was expecting a child. Despite previously claiming that she and Williamson were “in love,” the Pelican star has never publicly addressed their relationship.
Even as Williamson has been focused on his game and his growing family (his daughter was born last November), Mills has continued to take jabs at his playing style on social media, going as far as comparing it to his bedroom skills.
Williamson could miss rest of Playoffs
To add insult to injury, it was later announced that Williamson would miss the Pelicans’ crucial game against the Sacramento Kings. This turn of events only adds fuel to the ongoing banter between Mills and Williamson.
It’s clear that there’s some playful back-and-forth between Mills and Williamson, with Mills taking the opportunity to tease him about his on-court performance. Despite the lighthearted nature of her comments, it’s evident that there’s some underlying tension between the two.
