Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson, one of the most famous YouTubers in the world, started making videos at the age of 12, with his channel getting 122 million views a year before he turned 19.
He is regarded as one of the pioneers of generating YouTube videos with stunts, with contestants being awarded generous sums of money to take part in his projects.

Mr Beast was declared by Forbes as the highest-earning YouTuber of 2021. He earned as much as 54 million dollars from various income sources such as advertising and sponsorship contracts, as well as products such as clothing and video games.

As of 2022, Mr Beast earns between three and five million dollars per month, according to the YouTube analytics service SocialBlade. However, his total net worth is unknown as he reinvests certain amount of his revenue into his new projects.
“Why do I need money?” he told The Joe Rogan Experience.
“I think living your life chasing like a nicer car, and a bigger and bigger box to live in is kind of like a dumb way to go about life.”
According to various reports, Mr Beast invests as much as 300,000 dollars to produce each of his videos, with the highest cost of any video he’s ever produced being 3.5 million dollars.
“I woke up, I studied YouTube, I studied videos, I studied film-making, I went to bed and that was my life,” Donaldson told Bloomberg in 2020.
“The beauty of YouTube is double the effort isn’t double the views, it’s like 10x.
“The first million subscribers you get will take years, but the second will come in a few months.”
