Meghan has had enough of these character attacks and is reportedly ready to defend herself. “These rumors of her being ‘Duchess Difficult’ have plagued Meghan for years, and she’s tired of the character assassinations,” an insider told In Touch. Meghan’s frustration stems from allegations of bullying that surfaced in 2021, leading to a palace investigation.
Although the Sussexes denied the claims, the results of the investigation were never made public, leaving the situation murky. “It’s Meghan’s word against theirs,” the source continued, fueling speculation that she may soon share her side of the story.
Some of the accusations are harsh, with claims that Meghan “belittles people” and sends early morning emails that created a stressful work environment. Yet, Meghan has her supporters, including Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who once defended her by saying she’s just “a normal California girl who gets up early and does yoga.”
Meghan herself has pushed back against the accusations, admitting that while she’s particular about how things are done, this doesn’t make her demanding or difficult-just clear.
