Neil Young has released ‘Big Change’ just weeks before releasing a new album. The track, produced by Lou Adler and Young himself, was recorded with his current band, The Chrome Hearts, which includes Spooner Oldham on organ, Micah Nelson on guitar and vocals, Corey McCormick on bass and vocals and Anthony LoGerfo on drums. It is a socially themed song in which Young questions where the world is today
The musician has also revealed that on February 14, he will release a new lost album entitled ‘Ocean Countryside’. This album is part of the ‘Analog Original Series’ and was recorded on tape between May and December 1977. Although some songs from the album have already been released (‘Comes a Time’, ‘Hitchhiker’ or ‘Hawks & Doves’), ‘Ocean Countryside’ will see the light of day in just a few weeks.
“This original analogue record, recorded in 1977, was not released at the time. These songs are the original mixes made at the time of recording. I recorded the vocals and played the instruments on ‘Oceanside‘ at Triad (Florida) and Indigo (Malibu) studios. And the ‘Countryside‘ parts with a great group of friends at Crazy Mama studios in Nashville. I hope you enjoy this treasure of Analog Original recordings as much as I have,” the artist explained.
