After losing the trial against Johnny Depp, Amber Heard suddenly became enemy No. 1 as fans kept on asking for her to be removed from the Aquaman sequel. In the end, Heard did appear on the film for more than 20 minutes of screen time and left folks with a giant empty hole in their stomach. In her eyes, being part of the production of this movie is just another part of a job that she needed to go through. And as it turns out, Heard enjoyed the shooting of this movie despite everything that was going on in her life at the time. She enjoyed herself so much that she just released a photo album on the set of the Aqueman sequel. One of these pictures shows Heard feeding her daughter, Oonagh Paige when she was just a toddler.
No more AMber HEard in the DCEU
According to James Gunn himself, the Aquaman sequel represents the end of the DC Extended Universe that was originated from Zack Snyder’s imagination. With the end of this story, along comes the end of Amber Heard’s run as Mera in the Aquaman movie franchise. It has also been established that actor Jason Momoa is aalready being considered to play a different character in the new DC Universe created by James Gunn. But Amber Heard won’t likely return to do any work for this particular IP. After so much drama and targetted harrassment, Heard can finally move on and leave all of this behind.
In her post, AberHeard does appear to be smiling on all three pictures that include her feeding her own child. Oonagh Paige was named after her grand mother, who passed away. She was born via surrogate in April 2021. Heard decided to keep her daughter’s arrival to this world in secret until July of that same year. This is what Amber Heard wrote on her Instagram page: “After all this time, Aquaman 2 made its splash (sorry, it’s too easy). Thank you to all of my fans for the overwhelming support and love in Mera’s AQ return. Thank you so much.”
