Paris Hilton has in recent times been outspoken about her difficult experiences as a child and a young woman. In a recent interview, the former reality star divulged some of the ‘darker’ details about the sex tape she made when she was 19-year-old.
Hilton participated in the sex tape with her ex Rick Samolon, who in a twisted turn of events released it to the public years after the couple broke up, titling it ‘1 Night In Paris’.
When it was released, Paris had already made a name for herself, after starring in her reality show The Simple Life. The video made plenty of headlines and Hilton received lots of unwanted of public attention.
As revealed by the Sunday Times, Hilton explains in her upcoming memoir that she told her boyfriend at the time that ‘felt weird and uncomfortable about it’. She also divulged that she had drunk alcohol and took Qualide (a type of sedative) on the night.
She goes on: ‘I always told him, “I can’t. It’s too embarrassing. That was the worst thing I could think of – to be dumped by this grown man because I was a stupid kid who didn’t know how to play grown-up games.’
Dispute with ex
Paris revealed that she begged her ex not to post the entire video after a short 37 second clip surfaced online. Samolon refused, claiming that he had ‘every right’ do so given that it ‘belonged to him’.
The reality star explained that the consequences were devastating and that she felt ‘her life was over’.
So bad did it get that not even her closed family ‘could look at her’.
‘To have that come out, such a private moment, and for the whole world to be watching it and laughing like it’s some sort of entertainment, was just traumatizing’, she explained.
