Pitbull Cruz was crowned WBA super lightweight champion after shattering Rolly Romero on Saturday, and it only took a few minutes for Ryan Garcia to jump on the opportunity to fight the new champ.
Pitbull Cruz broke Rolly Romero’s defense from the get-go
Rolly Romero understood, after losing the super lightweight world title, that everything he said before his duel with Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, had severe consequences in the ring, now Cruz holds the WBA Super lightweight championship belt earned after a sounding knockout in the eighth round.
Now Ryan Garcia is also following the path as Rolly Romero, trash talking without even knowing what he is up against just to poke the Pitbull. Garcia will face Devin Haney in April, where he will fight for the WBC super lightweight title.

After the technical knockout, Pitbull became the epicenter of boxing, and although he could face Gervonta Davis in a millionaire purse, he launched in his celebration a challenge to any opponent who wanted to face him.
Garcia immediately tweeted a challenge claiming “You don’t know boxing if you really think pitbull beats me I fought so many fighters like that in my life it would be a field day”
The post was only the first of several comments he posted on X after saying that he would “sleep Cruz”, however, after a little while he wrote another comment where he said that he respected Pitbull
Ryan Garcia will fight Devin Haney on April 20th, and if he wins, the fight against Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz might be in the cards for both boxers.
