Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders is an iconic figure of American culture and his impact in sports, fashion and society makes him one of the most influential persons in the country.
The Colorado Buffaloes head coach has quickly become one of the best leaders in college football and the future is bright for his team, despite the fact that they lost Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, superstar quarterback Shedeur Sanders and explosive safety Shilo Sanders (all three of them are entering the 2025 NFL Draft).
As a matter of fact, there’s plenty of competition for the starting quarterback position. Colorado landed 5-star quarterback Julian Lewis. He’s gonna have to compete for the job with Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter, who only has one year of college eligibility left and who’s not looking to seat on the bench next season.

Shilo Sanders reveals a big Deion Sanders’ secret
During an episode of the popular “2 Legendary with Shedeur Sanders” podcast, Shilo and Deion Sanders Jr. stopped by to share stories about growing up with one of the best athletes in American sport’s history and how they were able to find success.
The brothers talked about the fact that “Coach Prime” takes care of his money and how he kept the family grounded by not giving away too much of it and teaching the Sanders to earn their stuff… sometimes “Prime Time” took things a little too far, as the brothers recalled.

Shilo remembered that his dad would give Shedeur and him a $100 bill when they went to the mall and they had to fight over it. Deion Sanders’ solution? Ripping the bill in half. “We grew up in a nice house, though, but bro, we weren’t raised like how y’all think, it was different, boy!”.
Shedeur Sanders added that whenever he starts making good money, he’s going to act different from his dad. “Las week he called me and asked me to let him drive my car. I said ‘no, dawg, you gotta ask nicely.” Shilo told Shedeur that he can’t do his father like that.
Deion Sanders Jr. remembered that his dad would say no to anything, except special occasions like Spring Break in Miami, when “Prime Time” would give him $500. “$500 to dad is like $15,000, though.” Shilo said. He added another behavior Deion Sanders has when they go out to eat.

“If it’s over $100, bro, and it’s just you and dad, he’s like ‘we are never coming back here again, it doesn’t matter’ what kind of restaurant it is.” Shilo stated. All three siblings agreed that they did had it good when they were growing up, though.
