The end of Roland Garros is fast approaching and with it, there are some titanic duels still to be played in the men’s semi-finals draw.
With three matches to go to find out who will be the next player after Novak Djokovic to lift the Musketeers’ Cup, the remaining four players in the French tournament are determined to win in Paris for the first time.
For many, the clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will be the match tennis fans won’t want to miss on Friday. Both Alcaraz and Sinner have claimed their first Majors, but neither have won the coveted clay court title at Roland Garros yet.
Sinner, who was crowned the new world No.1 on Monday, will face the Spaniard Alcaraz, world number three, having only dropped one set each in the entire tournament so far. This will be their ninth match on the ATP circuit, with four wins for each in the head-to-head record.
The Italian has only lost two matches in 2024, although one was against Alcaraz – and the 21-year-old comes into the last-four clash in great form after superb performances against Sebastian Korda, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Stefanos Tsitsipas on Thursday.
The other semi-final in the men’s draw pits two veterans of the tournament in recent years against each other. Casper Ruud, a finalist in each of the last two editions of the French Open, will face Alexander Zverev, who has made the semi-finals for three consecutive years.
When are the Roland Garros semi-finals?
The two semi-finals of the men’s draw will take place on Friday, June 7, on Court Philippe Chatrier.

The second match between Ruud and Zverev is set for no earlier than 17:30 local time (12:30 ET / 10:30 PT).
