Cristiano Ronaldo has opened the door to a possible return to Real Madrid, admitting that his time at the Santiago Bernabeu was the happiest period of his career.

The Portuguese superstar, now playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has not ruled out a future reunion with the club where he became a legend.

Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 and went on to score an incredible 450 goals in 438 appearances.

He won four Champions League titles and 15 major trophies, cementing his place as one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

When asked about a return, he told Spanish journalist Eduardo Aguirre, “Maybe after ending my career, something can happen.”

The 39-year-old reflected on his time in Madrid with fondness. “My period at Real Madrid is the happiest for me in terms of football,” he said, making it clear how much the club means to him.

What’s next for Cristiano Ronaldo?

Ronaldo’s current deal with Al-Nassr is set to expire this summer, but reports suggest he has already agreed to an extension.

The new contract is reportedly worth an astonishing €183 million per year, making him one of the highest-paid athletes in the world.

Despite his age, Ronaldo remains as competitive as ever. He has stated that retirement is not in his immediate plans, with a personal goal of reaching 1,000 career goals before he hangs up his boots.

He recently added to his tally in Al-Nassr’s 3-1 win over Al-Fateh, bringing his career total to 920 goals. As Ronaldo continues to break records in Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid fans will wonder if a return is truly possible.
