Cristiano Ronaldo is approaching 40 years of age, an age at which the vast majority of elite athletes choose to end their careers, but the Portuguese has shown that he could reach the 2026 World Cup.
Since his debut in 2002 with Sporting Lisbon, CR7 has built his history on goals, to the point of being regarded as one of the best players in history, alongside Pele or Diego Armando Maradona, not to mention comparisons with Argentine Lionel Messi.
“I’m going to be 40 years old, but I’m not finished, I want to score more goals, I want to keep winning more with the national team. I’ll keep going,”
With a career that includes Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and currently Al Nassr, CR7 has amassed a fortune of 800 million euros, a wealth that he has not only managed, but also has a clear idea of what the next step is once he hangs up his boots.
In statements made at the award ceremony for the best player in the East at the Globe Soccer Gala, CR7 made it clear that he will continue to be linked to soccer, with the idea of becoming the owner of a team.
“I’m not a coach and I’m never going to be one. Maybe one day I’ll see myself as a club owner, I don’t know.”
