Salt Bae seems to have certain problems in his restaurants, and it is that he has begun to drastically lower his prices, specifically in the one located in New York, the famous Nurs-Et Steakhouse, which has begun to sell a set menu for only 39 euros.
Since its launch in 2019, the Instagram-favorite experience has been inundated with negative reviews and made headlines for its pricey menu.
A customer’s receipt from one of its restaurants went viral on social media after having to pay 1,812 euros, with prices such as 630 euros for a steak and four Red Bulls at a cost of 44 euros.
Now it has surprised everyone by bringing out this very affordable menu.
Salt Bae’s new affordable menus
This is a specific lunch menu that diners can enjoy in a set time period from Monday to Sunday, which includes a starter, main course and dessert for 39 euros per person.
Another includes a burger and fries for 45 euros, and starters such as smoked beef, taco burgers and steak tartare are also available for 35 euros.
It has likewise included a new range of sushi, such as shrimp tempura, and avocado and salmon nigiri, which are priced between 23 and 28 euros for four pieces.
The fact is that Gokce, better known as Salt Bae, went viral on social media in 2017 for his salt-spraying videos that have earned him more than 38 million followers on Instagram.
However, with his New York branch of Nurs-Et about to close and his London restaurant facing an avalanche of bad reviews, Salt Bae‘s empire may be starting to crumble.
