Ryan Gosling could become the star of the next ‘Star Wars’ universe film. According to specialized media, the actor is in negotiations to participate in a film directed by Shawn Levy, director of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor, who has been nominated for three Oscars, is Levy’s choice to be part of a project that has been in the works for around two years
The new film in the ‘Star Wars’ universe is reportedly being devised with the joint work of director Shawn Levy and screenwriter Jonathan Tropper, who previously worked together on films such as ‘This is Where I Leave You’ (2014) and ‘The Adam Project’ (2022).
Little is known about the film the two are working on, but it is not expected to be linked to the Skywalker saga and will be an “independent” project.
The ‘Star Wars’ universe continues
In the event that an agreement is reached between Ryan Gosling and Shawn Levy, the project in question would become the next film in the ‘Star Wars’ universe as filming would begin next autumn, according to the magazine.
We recall that the most recent production in the galactic saga was ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’, which finished shooting last December and is expected to hit theaters in May 2026.
