One of these substances is Shyntol, which apparently has cost the life of Illia Golem, one of the most voluminous and monstrous bodybuilders in the world for the size of his body and musculature. At the age of 36, he died of an unknown cause, but it could be related to the use of substances like this one.
What is Shyntol
Shyntol is a substance that is mainly composed of oil. This substance is consumed through injections in specific areas of the body, which makes the muscle grow.
It is composed of medium chain oils such as MCT, lidocaine and benzyl alcohol. This substance is injected into the muscle fibers, which produces an instant visual increase, since the oil is not absorbed.
As it is a foreign body, the body tries to expel this substance and, as a result, the injected area becomes inflamed. It is also quite difficult to eliminate it completely from the body and, of course, if this is done, it will take a long time.
Risks of injecting Shyntol
Although it may seem that this type of substance does not cause any apparent harm, it does have a number of risks that, in some cases, are irreversible.
In the case of Shyntol, one of the most common symptoms is chronic muscle pain. But it can also lead to muscle fibrosis or the formation of an oleoma, which is the tumor encapsulation of the oil, causing deformity and irreversible damage.
In some cases, in fact, it is necessary to amputate the affected limbs. But sometimes the damage is not limited only to the muscles into which the substance has been injected. There is a notorious possibility that the consumption of this substance can lead to a fat embolism in vital organs such as the brain or lungs, which could result in the death of the individual.
