Taylor Swift‘s The Tortured Poets Department could be snubbed from Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards, despite the 35-year-old billionaire being the favorite to sweep a host of prizes.
Swift released the album to critical acclaim and financial success in April 2024, but could face overwhelming competition from Billy Eilish‘s Hit Me Hard and Soft, Beyonce‘s Cowboy Carter and Charli XCX‘s Brat.
Gold Derby reports either Eilish or Beyonce will win the award, ranking them perfectly split but the Fortnight singer could miss out on the prize entirely after already being looked over for Best Music Film category for The Eras Tour.
Even the stars may not be aligning Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend either, as a tarot reader and astrologer predicts further disappointment for the woman from Pennsylvania, despite her album selling 1.6 million copies within a day.
“Taylor Swift isn’t shown as a big winner within the big four categories,” Inbaal Honigman said to Casino.org. “The calm Four of Swords Tarot card indicates that this specific awards ceremony yields modest results for the talented star.”
It would be a minor set-back for Swift after an exceptional run of form since 2023. She launched the Eras Tour; which went on to make over two billion dollars in revenue, as well as releasing the Taylor’s Versions of Speak Now and 1989.
Additionally she produced film of her Eras Tour that claimed the record for highest-grossing concert film of all time, claiming $261.7m, and was also honored as TIME Person of the Year and topped Billboard’s Power 100 ranking for top music industry executives in 2024.

Gold Derby also predicts Sabrina Carpenter‘s Espresso will claim Record of the Year, with Eilish’s Birds of a Feather expected to collect Song of the Year. Chappell Roan is forecast for Best New Artist.
The 2025 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, home of the NBA’s Lakers. The night will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+ with Trevor Noah hosting.
