David Benavidez, widely known as the “Mexican Monster,” has become one of boxing’s most dominant forces.

Born on December 17, 1996, in Phoenix, Arizona, Benavidez was raised in a boxing family. His father, Jose Benavidez Sr., was his first trainer, and David, along with his brother Jose Jr., was introduced to the sport at an early age.
Given his natural talent and boxing IQ, it seemed inevitable that Benavidez would make his mark in the sport. At just 20 years old, he became the youngest super middleweight champion in boxing history, further solidifying his place in the sport’s future.
