On Wednesday, the music world was dressed in mourning after the death of Tina Turner at the age of 83 was announced.
And the causes of death of the Rock icon were already revealed by her representative, who spoke to the Daily Mail, in statements taken up by Page Six.
What did Tina Turner die of?
On May 24, Turner died of natural causes at her home near Zurich, Switzerland, her representative said.
Page Six recalls that previously, her manager announced that Tina struggled with a “long illness”, although he did not give more details about it.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and boundless passion for life, she captivated millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we bid farewell to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you very much,” is the message that informed of the singer’s death.

Tina Turner’s battle with Kidney Disease
Page Six notes that two months before her passing, the ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ performer opened up about her battle with kidney disease.
“My kidneys are victims of not realizing [sic] that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine,” she wrote on Instagram on March 9, when International Kidney Day was commemorated.
“I have put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I need daily, lifelong therapy with medication. For too long I believed my body was an untouchable, indestructible bastion.
