Last Thursday, June 22, the top officials of the US Coast Guard held a press conference revealing the worst omens as it was confirmed that the OceanGate submersible Titan, which was lost in the middle of the Atlantic while visiting the wreck of the Titanic, finally imploded, after being missing since last Sunday, June 18, and all five crew members died on the spot.
The accident, due to a catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber, kept the world in suspense, who followed closely how the hours of oxygen were ending for the crew members without knowing that they all died instantly.

A report in The Week, claims that hundreds of people were trapped inside the ship when it sank and, to know their state of decomposition, one would have to see how much they were exposed over the years to oxygenated water currents and deep-sea scavengers.
The different theories
“Decomposition is slowed if bodies are isolated from the open sea, which reduces oxygen levels and scavengers,” William J. Broad told The New York Times.
“The interiors of old shipwrecks have yielded bones, teeth and sometimes whole bodies.”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if highly preserved bodies were found in the engine room, that was in the interior of the ship,” said another Titanic expert named Robert Ballard.
Others studying the Titanic tragedy say the bodies decomposed long ago.
