Tom Brady looked small against the San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama and used the opportunity to gain some perspective on how Julian Edelman must have felt when they were teammates.
Wembanyama, regarded as the most promising prospect in all of the NBA, stands at staggering 7ft4 tall and often receives plaudits for his flexibility and range of movement which many expect shouldn’t be possible for a giant of his size.
Brady was the latest person he made look tiny despite the ex-New England Patriot standing at 6ft4 tall, which is good enough to place him in the 98th percentile for American men.

Surely the kind of player he would have loved to toss a football to in his prime days, the seven-time Super Bowl champion made sure to comment on the height of the French basketballer.
“Awesome to meet you @wemby,” Brady posted on Instagram. “Incredible young man.
“Usually I’d make some joke here about how I think I could get 10 and 10 against you, but let’s be real … you’d send my jumper into the club level.”
Brady pokes fun at friends
Across his career, Brady threw for over 89000 yards with a season-high of 5316 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and one of the colleagues he used to throw to, Julian Edelman.
Edelman stands at 5ft8 tall, making him just shy of the average height for American men but despite the vertical shortcoming he still had a successful NFL career.
He spent 12 seasons with the Patriots and won three Super Bowls. He made 6822 receiving yards in his career and scored 36 touchdowns but that didn’t stop him from being the source of Brady‘s latest punchline.
“This is how you felt all those years?” asked Brady to Edelman about the height difference.
Edelman responded with an iconic ‘The Office’ line, “I am dead inside.”
